EcoPro launched EcoPro Materials in 2018 in the Yeongilman Industrial Complex in Pohang, followed by EcoPro Innovation and EcoPro AP in October 2022. It has a complete battery cathode material ecosystem (eco-friendly closed-loop system) named 'EcoBattery Pohang Campus' with an area of about 150,000 square meters. 

'Closed Loop Eco-system' is EcoPro's only battery cathode material value chain in Korea. Lithium hydroxide (EcoPro Innovation), precursors (EcoPro Materials), and high-purity oxygen and nitrogen (EcoPro AP) are delivered to EcoPro BM and EcoPro EM to produce cathode materials. This is a circular system in which raw materials such as lithium, nickel, and cobalt are extracted and delivered to cell manufacturers, and when the batteries become waste batteries, they are collected and recycled by EcoPro CnG.The eco-friendly ecosystem of cathode materials created by EcoPro will now be joined by EcoPro HN, a comprehensive eco-friendly solution company. The enhanced eco-friendly system minimizes the generation of pollutants such as wastewater from the existing battery Cathode material ecosystem. In addition, by advancing recycling technology, the ratio of wasted water is kept close to 0% through the infinite circulation of polluted water.
