EcoPro, which is promoting secondary battery cathode materials and related projects based in Pohang, donated 10 billion won to Pohang City, which was intensively damaged by the 11th typhoon "Hinnamno" on the 6th.
 
EcoPro held a "Donation Delivery Ceremony for Typhoon Victims in Pohang" at the Pohang City Hall's Foreign Cooperation Office on the 8th, attended by Pohang Mayor Lee Kang-deok and EcoPro Chairman Lee Dong-chae.
 
All seven family companies, including EcoPro, EcoPro Innovation, EcoPro BM, EcoPro EM, EcoPro Materials, EcoPro CnG, EcoProHN, and EcoPro AP, participated in the donation, and the donation will be designated to Pohang City through the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association. The donation of 10 billion won will be used for emergency relief, facility restoration, daily necessities for victims, and housing stability for the vulnerable in Pohang, which was severely damaged by the typhoon.
 
Lee Dong-chae, chairman of EcoPro, said, "I would like to express my deep consolation to the residents of Pohang who were severely injured by the typhoon," adding, "We have made a bold decision for the residents suffering from the flood." The donation will be made by all executives and employees for 100 years, and please use it for the most difficult and necessary citizens, businesses, and damage sites, he said. "EcoPro will be with Pohang citizens forever."
 
EcoPro has been carrying out various social contribution activities to practice corporate social responsibility such as "sharing with the community" and "establishing a corporate culture living together." In particular, Pohang is carrying out various social contribution activities for Pohang residents such as sponsorship projects for vulnerable people, regular sponsorship for children in Pohang, library, self-diagnosis kits, and Pohang International Fire Festival.
